1.
Recurring events are sync to VCO as pattern.
However,
the recurring instances will be synced to Android Calendar as individual
events.

Android Calendar
- Weekly Recurring events, the next 8 weeks instances will be synced to
Android Calendar
- Monthly Recurring events, the next 24 months instances will be synced

to Android Calendar
- The next recurring
instance will be created and add to Android Calendar in the daily job
that runs at mid-night.
2. How to reset VCO Calendar?
If you would like to reset VCO, if you have any recurring events in VCO,
remember to check the checkbox "Delete synced events when reset"
in VCO Settings. This will remove all the synced events in Android Calendar.
Otherwise, when you sync with outlook again after reset, the recurring
instances may be duplicated.
3. Reset VCO 5 when you have problem: If
you have problem to use VCO after upgrade, you can try to Reset you VCO
(Remember to check the checkbox "Delete synced events when reset"
before reset it), then uninstall VCO 5 and then install VCO 5 from Market.
Then sync with Outlook again. This will bypass the upgrade process and
sync all clean data to VCO 5. Remember to backup your Outlook before executing
this steps.
4.
Remember to Backup your Outlook before upgrading to VCO 5.
5. After
upgrading to VCO 5, the events time in VCO Calendar will not display correctly,
you must sync with Outlook using SyncCenter 5 to complete the upgrade.
Once you have completed the first sync successfully, the events time will
be back to normal.
6. Please
download SyncCenter 5.1.50 or above.
7.
For some users, contacts are not displayed in Android Contacts
App after upgrade, this is due to the groups visibility issue.
Please go to Android Contacts App, Menu -> Display options. In the
Select to display option, please make sure "All other contacts"
of all the accounts are checked. This issue has been fixed in the latest
release.
8. Contacts
Categories and Android Contacts Groups
- Only categories
being assigned to VCO contacts will be synced to Android Groups.
- Only groups being
assigned to Android contacts will be synced to VCO Categories

Android Contacts app. You need to change it in VCO.
- If you sync to
gmail account, you can change group of the contacts in Android Contacts
App.
- If you have enabled
the "Sync categories to Android" option in Contacts Settings,
remember to "Export synced contacts to Android". Otherwise,
the contact categories created before enabling this option will not
be synced to Android contact groups.
- Sync categories
to contacts group is a very complicated process which involves a lot
of checking, as the structure of on both platforms are very
different. Sync contacts categories is disabled by default. It makes
your sync process and contact categories update faster.
9. (For VCO
Tab 5 only) Deleting Events/Contacts in Android will be synced to VCO
and Outlook (it can be enable in Contacts Settings and Calendar
Settings). When VCO sync with Android Contacts/Events, it will try to
find the events/contacts in Android by its internal id. If the id doesn't
exist (for whatever reasons), the corresponding items in VCO will be deleted.
If you have enabled the "Remove Deleted Contacts/Events from Outlook"
in SyncCenter, the items in Outlook will also be deleted after sync.
- Please be reminded
that other apps on your phone may also access your contacts or events
in Android, if they have change the id or delete the items from Android,
the items in VCO will also be deleted. As we cannot control how the
other apps accessing your contacts/events, the following features is
the protect your data in Outlook:
- By default, this
feature is disabled. You can enable it in Calendar Settings and Contacts
Settings as your own risks.
- It will only delete
20 items at most for every sync. It's to prevent VCO from deleting all
the items in case you have any problem of your contacts/events in Android
(may be due to the configuration changes on your phone).
- By default, SyncCenter
will not delete any items from Outlook even the items are deleted on
your phone. This can be changed in SyncCenter-> Sync Options. This
is to protect your data from be deleted due to the configuration issues
on your phone.
10. (For VCO
Tab 5 only) Contacts/Events updated in Android can be synced to VCO immediately
(about 1 min after screen off as batch import). This includes your updates
of the contacts/events manually and other apps running at the background.
If VCO finds that the last sync just runs 1 min just ago, the next sync
will be schedule to run 5 mins after screen off. This is to save your
battery life in case some other apps keep updating your contacts or calendar.
In most of the cases, this feature shouldn't take too much resource on
your devices. If you find that this feature uses a lot of resources on
your device (different devices may have different apps installed), please
turn it off.
This feature is disabled
by default. You can enable this feature in Contacts Settings and Calendar
Settings. After enabling this feature, the sync process will also run
faster because VCO doesn't need to sync between VCO and Android during
the sync process.
