1. What will VCOrganizer Sync?
|
VCOrganizer
sync Outlook Notes, Tasks
and Calendar Events and Contacts
to your Android Phone. Calendar Events and Contacts will be
sync to Android native Calendar and Contact. We do provide our
own custom Notes, Tasks and Calendar Apps.
|
|
2.Steps to get sync work? |
 To
get sync work,
1. you'll need to download and install Sync Centre from our
website http://vecal.biz/downloads.php
2. Launch the Sync Centre on the PC, and make sure the PC
is connected to the network / internet.
3. Making sure your phone's WIFI is on, and the phone and
PC are within the WIFI coverage.
4. Launch VCO on your phone, after clicking "Sync",
the phone should be attempting to find sync centre automatically,
if it finds the sync centre, you'll see your PC name on your
phone, select the PC, and IP would be populated automatically.
Click "START" to start the sync.
If step
4 fails, there are 3 possible reasons that the VCOrganizer
cannot discover the SyncCenter via WIFI wireless connection:
1. The firewall on your PC blocks the connection
2. The VPN on your PC blocks the connection
3. Antivirus might contribute the issue.
4. The android device and the PC are not on the same subnet.
Please
try to turn the items 1 to 3 off one by one temporarily to
isolate the cause of the sync failure. Please ensure the firewall
is kept off during the sync.
If it
is your firewall issue, VCO users UDP broadcast IP 255.255.255.255,
port: 11000, and communication port 8182. You may try to turn
on the firewall and change the firewall settings to allow
the communication, and see if that works for you.
We understand
that due the complexity of firewall / network infrastructure,
VCO might not be a right app for you computer / network environment.
If you wish to return the app but unable to do it on MARKET,
please let us know, We'll process it for you.
|
|
3. Cannot find SyncCenter? |
There
are a lot of possible reasons VCOrganizer cannot discover
the SyncCenter. Here are the 3 most possible reasons that
the VCOrganizer cannot discover the SyncCenter via WIFI wireless
connection:
- The firewall on your PC blocks
the connection
- The VPN on your PC blocks
the connection
- Antivirus might contribute
the issue.
- The android device and the
PC are not on the same subnet.
Please
try to turn the items 1 to 3 off one by one temporarily to
isolate the cause of the sync failure. If it is your firewall
issue, VCO users UDP broadcast IP 255.255.255.255, port: 11000,
and communication port 8182. You may try to turn on the firewall
and change the firewall settings to allow the communication,
and see if that works for you.
If VCOrganizer
still not able to find the SyncCenter, you can type the IP
address of your PC in the Sync Address textbox directly. |
|
4.Unable to download VCOrganzier from Android
Market? |
Please
go to MARKET > DOWNLOADS > find VCOrganizer, if you're
able to find it, could you try to re-download it? It
might because the mobile internet signal wasn't stable / strong
enough, or MARKET wasn't stable. |
|
5. Outlook Security Warning: "A program
is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook.
Do you want to allow this?" |
When
SyncCenter is trying to access your Outlook information, Outlook
will warn your about the activity when your antivirus software
is inactive or out-of-date. You will then see this message
on your PC:
"A
program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored
in Outlook. Do you want to allow this?".
This setting
can be changed from Outlook Trust Center in 2007 and 2010.
If you
don't have antivirus software or it's out-of-date due to whatever
reason, and you don't want to see the warning message, please
do the following:
- In Outlook menu, select Tools->Trust Center
- Select Programmatic Access on the Navigation bar on the
right.
- Under the Programmatic Access Security,
select "Never warn me about suspicious activity"
For details,
please read this note:

6. Unable to find VCOrganizer in Android Market? |
Unfortunately
the only place to download VCOrganizer at the moment is via
MARKET, as this is the current licensing platform we're using.
If you
are unable to search it via MARKET, I would suggest you to
check with your MOBILE NETWORK provider, as it happens that
in some countries not all paid apps are shown. |
|
7. Market Comment |
You
may do it by:
Going to MARKET from your android phone, Click "DOWNLOADS"
tab which is next to "GAMES", that will lead you to
all your downloaded Android applications. click on VCOrganizer
to go into the app, and you'll be able to see a section called
"REVIEW", that's where to rate and leave comments
|
|
8. Credit card payment failed |
You
credit card payment has been declined by google checkout. Would
that be anything to do with the expiry date or name or something
like this? Or would it because the internet signal wasn't stable
/ strong enough to complete the purchasing & download process?
Unfortunately,
Android Market is the only channel to purchase and download
VCOrganizer at the moment.
|
| 9.
Why the Sync is so slow at the first time? |
You
might experience the slowness of the first few times sync,
because VCO checks entire outlook datafile, built-in calendar
entries and VCO data and duplication handling. When it runs
smoothly on your phone, it checks for the updates only, so
the sync will be much quicker.
We have
put a lot of effort to try to reduce this kind of duplication
happen (avoid all duplication is not possible). Therefore,
the first time when you sync, SyncCenter and VCOrganizer will
try to compare the events or contacts with the existing items,
and trying to detect duplication before actually creating
the item. When duplication happen (we call it conflict), you
can tell SyncCenter what you want to do (This can be set from
SyncCenter):
Do
not Sync the items (This is the default)
Overwrite the Mobile items
Overwrite the Outlook items
If the
following conditions are matched, the items will be considered
as same and conflict will happen:
- firstname
+ middlename + lastname is the same
- Company
is the same
For example,
if I have a contact called "Peter Smith" on the
phone, and "Peter Smith" in the Outlook, even the
home phone number on the phone is 98768567, and home phone
number in Outlook is (076) 98768567, these 2 "Peter Smith"
are consider the same "Peter Smith", What will happen
if I have selected different conflict options?
- Do
not Sync the items (This is the default)
In this situation, Peter Smith on the mobile will not be
synced to Outlook, and Peter Smith on in Outlook will not
be synced to Mobile. These two contact items will not be
linked together. Any updates on mobile or outlook of this
contact will not be copied to each other.
- Overwrite the Mobile items
In this situation, the whole Peter Smith contact record
on mobile will be overwritten by the record in Outlook.
These two records will then be linked together. If you update
the contact information of "Peter Smith" either
on Mobile or in Outlook, they will be synced to each other.
- Overwrite the Outlook items
In this
situation, the whole Peter Smith contact record in Outlook
will be overwritten by the record on Mobile. These two records
will then be linked together. If you update the contact
information of "Peter Smith" either on Mobile
or in Outlook, they will be synced to each other.

Why do I use VCOrganizer Calendar, but not the native Calendar? |
 VCOrganizer
build-in Calendar provides the following features:
- Notes of
the events are encrypted
- You can search
your events easily
- Allow your
to send your events or task as SMS
- It integrates
Events/Tasks/Contacts, you can manage them easily on VCOrganizer
Calendar
- It provides
password lock/pattern lock to protect your items.
No matter you use you the mobile native Calendar
or the VCOrganizer build-in calendar, we sync both of them with
Outlook. i.e.:
When you create or edit events on VcOrganizer Calendar,
the events will be created or modified in the mobile native Calendar.
When you create or edit events on your mobile native
Calendar, the events will be copied to VCOrganizer Calendar when
you sync with Outlook (You can manually trigger the Import process
or schedule the import)
That's, after you have sync with Outlook, the events
on mobile native Calendar, VCOrganizer Calendar, and Outlook Calendar
should be identical. (For those events which are within the sync
start date and end date)
Remark:
If the events are sync to mobile native Calendar, the note will
not be encrypted on mobile native Calendar anymore. For security
reasons, you can select not to sync events to mobile native Calendar.
Go to Settings on VCOrganizer.
|
| 11.
Is the VCOrganizer Safe? |
Industrial
Standard AES encryption of the note body, task note and event note
to help you better protect your data stored on your devices to mobile
in VCOrganizer. However, there is no unbreakable encryption. We
encrypt your valuable date using AES encryption to better protect
your data, but we cannot guarantee it's unbreakable.
By default,
it's not encrypted, you need to enable it in the Settings screen.

| 12.How
to collect SyncCenter trace files for problem diagnosis? |
In
case you have any issues when trying to sync with Outlook, please
follow the following steps to collect the trace files and send them
to support (support@vecal.biz):
- Remove the
old vco_trace.log and vco_trace_mobile.log files from your Desktop
if they exist.
- Open SyncCenter
on your PC
- Go to the
About tab
- Check the
"Write Trace to Desktop" and "Reset LastSync Time"
checkbox, you should see a new window called "Mobile Log
Receiver". In the Mobile Log Receiver, make sure the "Write
Trace to Desktop" checkbox is checked.
- In VCOrganizer
Settings, check the checkbox besides the "Write Trace to
SD Card".
- Start the
sync from Mobile as normal.
- After sync
is completed, or it hangs somewhere in the middle of the sync
process, collect the following files, zip them and send to (support@vecal.biz).
- The vco_tract.log
and vco_trace_mobile.log (you should be able to find them on
your desktop)
- On your
Mobile sdcard, you should see a vc_log directory. Please send
us the vco_trace_file.log under that directory
- In VCOrganizer
Settings, uncheck the checkbox besides the "Write Trace to
SD Card".
- Close the
Mobile Log Receiver and restart the SyncCenter.
- Restart VCOrganizer
or restart your Mobile if necessary.
Remark: Please zip
all the files and briefly describe your problem in your email.
|
| 13.
Sync stop with "Error#" |
It's mostly likely your PC or notebook are going into hibernate
while sync in progress. Please make sure your notebook will not
hibernate which sync is in progress, and start the sync again.
|
| 14.
Do I need to sync with Android Native Calendar? |
It's not necessary. VCOrganizer comes with Calendar Application
which provides more functions and features then the native Android
Calendar, such as searching, sending SMS, encryption etc.
If you don't
need to sync your tasks or events to Native Calendar, you can disable
it in the VCOrganizer Settings screen.
Select "Do
Not Sync" in the option "Sync With Mobile Calendar".
In fact, if
sync with Mobile Calendar is disabled, the sync process will run
faster.
|
| 15.
Do I need full data sync? |
In normal case, you don't have to. VCOrganizer will detect the modified
items since the last sync, and will only sync the modified items.
If you want to do full data sync, you may modify the settings in
your Sync Centre by checking / unchecking the boxes. Every time
when the setting has been modified, VCO checks entire outlook datafile,
built-in calendar entries and VCO data again. If you don't use built-in
calendar, you may go to VCO on your phone > Settings > choose
"do not sync" under "Sync Tasks with Mobile Calendar".
That will shorten the sync time as well.

Some of my contacts are not synced to Outlook, why and how to fix
it? |
The data structure of the Android Contact App and Outlook are very
different. Android Contact App are designed to handle multiple contact
types for a single contact. Different contact types such as facebook
contacts, normal phone contacts etc can be linked to a single contact
person. We called them Contact and RawContact. Multiple RawContacts
(different contact types such as mobile phone number, facebook etc)
are linked to single Contact (person). Please see for details. (Android
Developers WebSite: Using
the Contacts API)
For example,
A person called "Peter Smith" (Contact) can have 2 mobile
numbers (RawContacts), 2 facebook contacts (RawContacts), 3 emails
address (RawContacts) etc. All these RawContacts are linked to Contact
called "Peter Smith"
However, Outlook are not designed like this, it just not possible
to sync these information to Outlook without some special handling.
VCOrganizer sync contacts in RawContact level. Besides, only RawContacts
with contact name or company name will be synced to Outlook. For
this example, if any of these RawContacts (2 mobile numbers, 2 facebook
contacts, or 3 emails addresses) have their own contact name or
company name, they will be synced to Outlook as individual contact
record. If not, they will not be synced.
If the linked
contacts are not synced to Outlook because the individual raw contacts
doesn't have proper contact name or company name, you can unlink
the contacts on your mobile, and give the individual raw contacts
a proper contact name and then link them back together . After that,
when you sync again with Outlook again, the raw contacts will be
synced to outlook and considered as different contact records.
If you still have problem, please feel free to contact VCOrganizer
Support at support@vecal.biz.

| 21.
Why do I see some contacts in Outlook with number only, but no contact
name? |
This
is due to the contact link features of Android Mobile. When you
link a contact number to a contact, only the primary contact will
have the contact name. When it sync to Outlook, the linked contact
will look like an individual contact and therefore you only see
the number (Outlook doesn't have contact link concept). However,
you can update the contact manually in Outlook. When you sync again,
the new contact name will be synced to your mobile.
Do not delete
this contact as the contact in your mobile will be deleted when
you sync with mobile again.
This issue is fixed in VCOrganizer
Version 4. Contact without proper contact name or company name will
not be synced.
|
| 22.Why
do I see some blank contacts in Outlook after sync with mobile? Should
I delete them? |
These
blank contacts are actually some special contact data on Android
Mobile such as Facebook contact etc (it's automatically generated
by Android and linked to your primary contact)
Outlook doesn’t have these fields to store this kind of information
and therefore it appears as a blank contact in Outlook. We will
try to enhance it in the future release.
Please do not
delete these empty contacts from Outlook. Otherwise, the corresponding
contact data will be deleted from your mobile when you sync again.
This issue is fixed in VCOrganizer
Version 4. Contact without proper contact name or company name will
not be synced.
|
| 23.My
mobile and my notebook are connecting to the WiFi in a Cafe Shop,
but I'm still not able to sync with my SyncCenter, why? What can I
do? |
In
most of the cases, this kind of WiFi connection are specially configured
so that each individual IP is not able to connect to each other
on the same network. That's why VCOrganizer cannot find the SyncCenter
even both of them are connected to the same access point.
If your Android
Mobile supports "Tethering & Portable Hotspot", you
can enable the Tethering feature on your Mobile, and connect your
notebook to your Android Mobile (In this case, your Android mobile
is working like a router). You should then be able to sync without
problem. However, in this kind of connection, VCOrganzier would
not be able to discover the SyncCenter. You need to manually enter
the IP address of the machine where SyncCenter is running. The IP
address can be found in SyncCenter About tab. |
| 24.I
am not at home or not in office, can I sync without WiFi? |
I
If your Android Mobile supports "Tethering & Portable Hotspot",
you can enable the Tethering feature on your Mobile, and connect
your notebook to your Android Mobile (In this case, your Android

|
| 25.Why
do some outlook contacts are missing from Mobile (They are in Outlook,
but not in my Mobile Contact List)? |
This
could have a lot of reasons such as conflict of contact information
between Mobile and Outlook. Please contact VCorganizer support (support@vecal.biz),
we can help you to find out why.
|
| 26.SyncCenter
prompts error: "System net sockets exception: only one usage
of each socket address is normally permitted.", why? |
The
error message means that some other processes are using the VCOrganizer's
ports.
VCOrganizer
uses UDP broadcast IP 255.255.255.255 port: 11000 for service discovery,
and port 8182 for data communication
In the future
release, we will allow user to change the communication ports.
In the meantime,
you can try to find out which process is using the ports and then
stop or kill the process from Windows Task Manager. Here is the
netstat command that you can run from your Command Prompt to find
the processes,e.g.:
C:\>netstat
-ao
Active Connections
Proto Local
Address Foreign Address State PID
TCP 0.0.0.0:8182 cow7:0 LISTENING 2508
UDP 0.0.0.0:11000 *:* 2501
.....
In this example,
the process 2508 and process 2501 are using the ports.
In your Task
Manager, select "View -> Select Columns .." from the
main menu.
In the "Select Process Page Columns" windows, make sure
the "PID(Process Identifier)" is checked.
Then, in the Task Manager, try to locate the process from process
table in the Processes tab and kill it.
Start the SyncCenter
again. |
| 27.What
happens when I sync with Outlook on different machines? |
When
Outlook items are transferred to VCOrganzier, the Outlook ID of
the items will be stored with the items. Those items on VCOrganizer
are linked with the Outlook it synced from. When you sync your VCOrganizer
with the other Outlook, the items will not be copied to the other
Outlook. This is to prevent the items from being duplicated.
From VCOrganzier
point of view, the items are partitioned based on their Outlook
ID. You can store the outlook items from different machines in VCOrganizer.
However, you cannot copy items from Outlook A to Outlook B.
|
| 28.Does
VCOrganzier Sync all Outlook contact fields to Android Mobile Contact

Due
to the limitation of Android Contact List, not all fields in Outlook
are synced to Android Contact List, here is the list of fields that
will be synced to Android Contact List from Outlook.

I cannot see some of my recurring events in VCOrganzier Calendar,
why? |
Outlook
and Android Calendar app store recurring events in different way.
Android Calendar app stores each recurring event as an individual
item. While Outlook only stores the definition, but not the actual
events.
Due to the different
data structure between Outlook Calendar and Android Calendar App,
VCOrganzier will only sync the recurring events to VCOrganizer if
the events are happening within the previous 60 days and next 60
days (i.e.: recurring events which happen between "Now - Sync
Days" and "Now + Sync Days".).
For example,
You will see the next 60 daily recurring events in VCOrganizer,
but you will only see the first recurring event of a yearly events.
The next year recurrence event will be synced to Mobile if it happens
within the next 60 days at the time when you sync.
In the
SyncCenter 3.1, you can select the Sync Days: 60 days (default),
180 days, 1 year or two years.
If this is not
your case, please contact support@vecal.biz

37. 0 events transferred from outlook to
phone. (User Contributed) |
Issue Situation:
Configurations:
- I use WinXP
PRO and VC Organizer center 3.1.9
- on the HTC
Desire HD I use VC Organizer Pro (latest version)
I have configured
a one-way sync (Outlook overwrites events on the mobile).
I have stated
that all events (in the past and future) should be transferred.
But 0 events
are transferred (also according to the log).
Cause
and Resolution (Extract):
I am using the
latest beta-version of Pocket Informant for Android.
This app can
sync with the Android Agenda and Google Agenda (I don't use the
last option, since I am using VC organizer). But it also offers
the possibility to enter events which are kept private (so they
do not appear in a synchronized agenda).
In the past
I have set the default for event creation to a synchronized attribute,
but apparently I have changed this setting for a number of events.
Therefore they
did not appear after synchronization.
In the forums
(Pocket Informant) I have seen that more users were not aware of
this possibility. Looking at the popularity of Pocket Informant
on other platforms I expect that more users will encounter these
'syncing' issues after the upcoming final release of Pocket Informant.

How to Sync Faster (for VCOrganzier 4 or above) ? |
You can fine
tune VCOrganzier so that it will sync faster according to your needs:
Here are the
options you can try:
1) In the Sync,
under the Sync Options, you can try this option:
"Sync Selected Categories Only" or "Do Not Sync Selected
Categories"
2) If you don't delete records from Mobile or PC frequently, you
can keep these two options unchecked
"Remove Deleted <items> from Outlook"
"Remove Deleted <items> from Mobile"
You can enable
it anytime you want if you have something needed to be deleted from
Outlook or Mobile.
3) In Sync Options,
Calendar tab, if you don't need to sync old data, it's recommended
to select the Sync Period to "Last Month" to "Following
Year". (For VCOrganizer Pro only)
4) In VCOrganizer Settings, in the options "Import Events from
Mobile" or "Import Contacts from Mobile", select
"Daily Import" or "Manual Import" (For VCOrganizer
Pro only)
a) If you choose
"Daily Import", VCOrganizer will schedule a daily job
to import the data for you.
b) If you choose "Manual Import", you can run the import
from Contacts App or Events App if necessary.
c) If you choose
"When Sync with Outlook", it will start the import before
sync. It may take time if you have thousands of contacts or events.
(For our test case, the import may take ~30 seconds for about 500
contacts on a new Mobile LG Optimus One)
The Import
process will compare the records on the Native Apps with the VCOrganizer
build-in apps. If they are different, the data in VCOrganizer will
be overwritten. In fact, every time when you edit the contacts or
events in VCOrganizer, the corresponding contacts or events in Native
Apps will be overwritten automatically. That's why there is no Export
option in VCOrganizer.
If you don't
create Contacts or Events from Android Native app frequently, options
a) and b) make your sync faster every time.

28.Does VCOrganzier
Sync all Outlook contact fields to Android Mobile Contact List?
|
| 42
When syncing contacts, VCOrganizer displays the error “Cannot
Read Contact from Outlook: The Operation Failed”. |
It’s possible
the Contact Note or other field contains HTML or formatted text
which is causing this issue.
At this time
VCOrganizer only support plain text. A possible work around is to
save or export the contact as a .vcf (Vcard Format) file, delete
the contact then import the .vcf file. |
| 43.
After deleting contact photo from Outlook, after sync with mobile,
the photo in VCOrganizer Contacts App is not delete . |
This
is expected.
In order to
protect your photo from accidentally deleting from mobile or outlook,
we decided not to delete the photo (only add or update)
As we didn't expect user to delete photo (This can be a design issue).
If you believe deleting photo is necessary, please contact our support
(support@vecal.biz). We can add this feature to our enhancement
list. |

Cannot login to VCO after Android OS upgrade. |
On
some devices, users are not able to login to VCO after upgrading
to Adnriod 2.3. You may also not be able to recover from the old
VCO backup from your sdcard. This is due to Android encryption issue
in Android 2.3.
The only way
to unlock / reset the password/pattern is to un-install and re-install
VCO. Please backup outlook data before you un-install VCO, because
by un-installing VCO, all your VCO related data would be removed
from Android Device. You can then sync with you Outlook again and
reset the password. Please also take a new VCO backup after the
first sync.
Therefore, you
are recommended to take a Outlook
backup before
Android OS upgrade and then perform either
one of the following:
1.
Reset the text password and reset pattern
password and disable the encryption
(if you have enabled it) before starting Andriod upgrade.
After Android OS upgrade, take a new VCO backup and set your password
again and reneable encryption if necessary.
OR
2.
Reset VCO in Settings before Android OS upgrade. After Android
OS upgrade, sync with Outlook again, take a new VCO backup and set
your password again and reneable encryption if necessary.
If you have
any problem, please contact support@vecal.biz.

| 45.You
see "Invalid SyncCenter" when you sync with Outlook |
For
“invalid sync centre” message, pls see below:
If your VCO on the Android phone is version 3.x, you'll need to
use Sync Centre version 3.x
If your VCO on the Android phone is version 4.x or VCO Lite, you'll
need to use Sync Centre version 4.x
Both versions of Sync Centre are available to be
downloaded from our website: www.vecal.biz > Download
You'll need to un-install the current Sync Centre from PC prior
to a new installation. |
| 46.Run
SyncCenter automatically when Windows starts (user contributed) |

1. Click the Start button Picture of the Start button, click All
Programs, right-click the Startup folder, and then click Open.
2. Open the
location that contains the item to which you want to create a shortcut.
e.g: C:\Program Files\Vecal\VCOrganizer\VCOrganizer
3. Right-click
the item, and then click Create Shortcut. The new shortcut appears
in the same location as the original item. (For some PC, the shortcut
will be created in Desktop)
4. Drag the
shortcut into the Startup folder.
The next time
you start Windows, the program will run automatically.
|
| 47.Duplicated
events, contacts and notes after sync (user contributed) |

I had VCO set to sync with the native calendar app which is synced
with my desktop via Exchange Server push. I think when I would sync
VCO with my desktop via bluetooth it was creating some sort of loop
beetween Outlook, the Exchange server, and VCO. This also resulted
in duplicate events, contacts, and notes on my desktop. After disabling
the sync between VCOrganizer and the native calendar app and refreshing
all the data on my mobile device, things seem to be working well.

| 48.HTC
Desire sync with Outlook using USB (user contributed) |

The HTC Desire needs to be set to pass through Internet when connected
via USB to the PC as then the mobile will obtain an IP address in
the same subnet. Please also see FAQ
36 How to Sync using USB (for Android 2.2 or above only)?
|
| 49.What's
New in VCO 5 and how to upgrade to VCO 5? |

- Create/edit Outlook recurring events/tasks in VCO
- SmartLinks which allows you to links tasks/contacts/notes/events
together
- Send contents as Email and SMS to linked contacts

Notes:
1. Recurring
events are sync to VCO as formula.
However, the recurring instances will be synced to Android Calendar
as individual events.
- Daily Recurring events, the next 10 days instances will be synced
to Android Calendar
- Weekly Recurring events, the next 8 weeks instances will be synced
to Android Calendar
- Monthly Recurring events, the next 24 months instances will be
synced to Android Calendar
- Yearly Recurring events, the next 10 years instances will be synced
to Android Calendar
- The next
recurring instance will be created and add to Android Calendar in
the daily job that runs at mid-night.
- All past recurring instances that synced to Android will not be
updated anymore event you has updated it in VCO Calendar (except
Exceptional Events).
2. Delete
recurring events from Android: If you would like to reset
VCO, if you have any recurring events in VCO, remember to check
the checkbox "Delete synced events when reset" in VCO
Settings. This will remove all the synced events in Android Calendar.
Otherwise, when you sync with outlook again after reset, the recurring
instances may be duplicated. We will try to fix this issue later.
If you do have this problem, after synced with Outlook, you can
go to Calendar , select ("View -> Current View -> By
Category) from the menu, and the order by Subject. You should be
able to see the duplicated recurring easily, delete the events and
then sync with VCO again. The duplicates recurring events in VCO
will be deleted from Mobile. (Remember to enable "Remove Deleted
Events from Mobile" in SyncCenter"
3. Recurring
Event Time: In VCO 5, event time is stored in UTC and display
in the format based on the time zone of your Mobile. If the time
zone of your PC and the time zone of your Mobile are different,
you will see the time of the events are shifted in VCO, the all
day events will span across two days. If you see some future recurring
events time are shift by 1 or 2 hours, it may be due to DST issue.
Please make sure you have
4.Reset
VCO 5 when you have problem: If you have problem to use
VCO after upgrade, you can try to Reset you VCO (Remember to check
the checkbox "Delete synced events when reset" before
reset it), then uninstall VCO 5 and then install VCO 5 from Market.
Then sync with Outlook again. This will bypass the upgrade process
and sync all clean data to VCO 5. Remember to backup your Outlook
before executing this steps.
If you have any problem, please contacts Vecal Support.

| 50.Why
swipe doesn't work in VCO 5? |

For some reasons, some devices may have problem when using swipe
to navigate. We are still researching on this issue.
By default swipe
is disabled, you can enable it in VCO Settings. Once swipe is enabled,
you can swipe on the screen to navigate from date to date, month
to month, week to week
